This is a video featuring Dr Ther Wint Aung from Myanmar who is chosen to represent Myanmar in the Science Prize competition.
The Sixth Annual ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women 2020 supported by UL, is a joint effort by USAID, UL and ASEAN. The United States Government through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), in partnership with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) supported by UL, aim to strengthen ASEAN science and technology capacity and gender equality and improvement through an annual ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women (“Prize”) supported by UL.
The 2020 Prize emphasizes the role of female scientists who use their work to better society in sustainable ways and act as role models for other women working in and pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
This year, the Prize theme focuses on the preventive healthcare in the ASEAN region.
