The tiny island of Taiwan finds itself in Beijing's crosshairs with continued signs of a possible Chinese invasion. In August, the Chinese military sent a loud wakeup call to the United States and allies in the region with a massive, unprecedented drill simulating a blockade of Taiwan.

"It crossed multi thresholds, and that hasn't happened in decades," Dr. Alexander Huang of Tamkang University told CBN News from his office in Taiwan's capital city

The plaintiff, Terry Sanderson, sued the actress in 2019, claiming she was skiing recklessly and crashed into him from above, causing serious, permanent injuries and emotional distress. Putin arrived Saturday night in the port city that has been under Russian control since May and was illegally annexed by Moscow in September.

"As befits a thief, Putin visited Ukrainian Mariupol, under the cover of night," the Ukraine Defense Ministry tweeted. "First, it is safer. Also, darkness allows him to highlight what he wants to show, and keeps the city his army completely destroyed and its few surviving inhabitants away from prying eyes."

In the wake of the 2020 presidential election, once it became clear that then-President Donald Trump had lost the race to Joe Biden, allies of the former president began claiming without evidence that the election had been stolen.

Dominion Voting Systems, a private voting machine manufacturer, became central to those claims, which asserted that the company conspired with Democrats to rig the election against Trump.

In 2021, Dominion filed a series of defamation lawsuits against key election deniers, suggesting their unfounded claims caused “severe damage” to the company. “These lies also have threatened the personal safety of our employees and customers,” Dominion CEO John Poulos said after filing one of the lawsuits. “No amount of money will repair the damage done."
