The Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced that the UK is to cut the amount of money it gives in overseas aid from 0.7% to 0.5% of GDP.
The decision has been widely criticised and a Minister at the Foreign Office has resigned in protest.
Mr Sunak told MPs that to carry on spending abroad when there was a domestic emergency was difficult to justify.
