In a statement to the media the Prime Minister said "it’s great to be back in Alberta, a great opportunity to sit down to chat with Jason." Later adding "It really has been a time where we’ve been
working together as a federation… with excellent results."

Trudeau also commented on the Alberta economy rebuilding saying "lots of investments, lots of opportunities to get our economies going even stronger."

Premier Kenney responded saying he was hoping to talk to the PM about travel and the tourism industry and the hope that Alberta can help lead Canada out of the pandemic.

"We see Alberta’s leading Canada out of the pandemic, but also we hope in economic growth this year." Kenney said. Later adding he hoped to talk to Trudeau about supporting Albertans who were out of work and get them back to work.

Trudeau also held a photo-op with Nenshi were the prime minister stated "lots of things to talk about" remarking on the outgoing mayor "your care for the people of Calgary continues right up to the last minute."

Nenshi talked about a post-COVID Calgary and said "I don’t want to go back to normal, I want to go to back to better than normal."
