Lt. Gen. Jennie Carignan, the newly appointed senior officer in charge of rooting out sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces, testified before a parliamentary committee Tuesday to discuss plans for a badly-needed culture change in the Canadian military.
Her testimony came amid a slew of allegations and ongoing investigations of sexual misconduct involving numerous military leaders over the last several months.
As Abigail Bimman explains, Carignan is still seeking clarity on the scope of her authority, but has a clear set of priorities.
