Parts of the Hawaiian islands saw flooding on Tuesday, and even mudslides since Sunday, as a powerful storm blew through the region, bringing heavy rains and high winds.
The strong storm has forced people indoors and threatened the state’s infrastructure. The National Weather Service is now warning of the potential of "catastrophic flooding" with the weather expected to continue through Wednesday.
Oahu saw the storm arrive Monday evening after it had already knocked out power in other parts of the state. Gov. David Ige has issued a state of emergency for all the islands.
