COVID-19: Jason Kenney, Alberta chief medical officer provide update on situation in province | LIVE
Alberta Premier Jason Kenney will join chief medical officer Dr. Deena Hinshaw on Thursday for a scheduled update on COVID-19 in Alberta.
Wednesday’s numbers saw another record high number of patients in Alberta hospitals with coronavirus with 1418, up 41 from the previous day.
However, the number of COVID-19 patients in Alberta requiring intensive care dropped slightly, down to 109 on Wednesday from 111 on Tuesday.
According to Alberta Health, 23 deaths were tied to COVID-19 over the previous 24 hours, however, a “previously reported COVID(-19) death was identified to be non-COVID(-19). As a result, the total deaths will increase by 22.”
